Has the Aesthetics, Beauty and Hairdressing Industry been forgotten?!
YES IT HAS!
Why has it been forgotten?
The aesthetics, beauty and hairdressing industry is bigger than the car manufacturing industry bring in revenue to the Scottish and UK purse in its millions.
The industry was one of the very first to be forced to closed in Scotland and when we were allowed to reopen mid July within three weeks the industry was informed of the "NO MASK NO TREATMENT" rule this in effect reduced the incomes of salons across Scotland by at least 80% with no help available.
Why introduce this rule but allow people to go to pubs and restaurants to eat and drink with others and no masks in sight.?!
Under FOI I emailed the Scottish Government for the scientific and medical data and research that allowed to them to reach this devastating decision but allow pubs and restaurants to open fully and the answer came back that there was NO scientific or medical data or research for their decision!
The aesthetics, beauty and hairdressing industry has been seriously misrepresented in the Scottish parliament through out the pandemic, this NEEDS TO CHANGE sadly this is now unlikely to change as we have NO ONE who seriously represents us in parliament.
Check out this great video about my Election campaign and what I will do for the Highlands & Islands as your Independent MSP Candidate
